Your PHENOMENON is in progress.

I freakin’ love OPRAH RADIO.
I listen to it every child-free moment in the minivan that I can.

The other day Oprah was chatting with author Sarah Ban Breathnach about the overwhelming and unexpected success of her first book Simple Abundance (which sold over 5 million copies). Sarah candidly shared how the success made her incredibly rich AND quietly desperate to create the same level of wild achievement with her next book.

Oprah went on to talk about how she has come to understand that the Oprah Show, much like Sarah’s first book, was a PHENOMENON. Meaning the right circumstances came together in just the right way to CREATE something that was bigger than her and unimaginable from the starting point.

This has really stuck with me over the last few weeks. I’ve been wondering things like…

What is my phenomenon?
Has it already happened?
Could it be my kids? Will it be my career? My baking hobby?
Does everyone have a phenomenon in their lifetime?
Am I grateful enough to be open to it when the process is in play?

BIG QUESTIONS.

Oprah’s Show was a phenomenon. So was Michael Jackson. Sarah Ban Breathnach’s Simple Abundance Book. The Atkins Diet. The web. I believe that, in our daily lives, PHENOMENONS are playing out all the time.

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN IT IS? The peace you feel that you are in the right place and on the right path is your phenomenon in progress. YOU ARE LIVING THE PROCESS.

On the flipside, the anxiety and restlessness you feel when you are not on the right path…well that is life telling you that something needs to change.

Relationships. Career choices. Family matters. Self care.
WANTS. DESIRES. NEEDS. LONGINGS.

How do you FEEL when you think about these? On track or in the ditch?

When you are on track there is endless, effortless energy organically drawn from your phenomenon. It’s a powerful intoxication of PURPOSE and POWER.

What I see in so many women though is an unconscious RESISTANCE to this process. From everyday mild to random intense moments of SABOTAGE–both undermine and derail the momentum of your greatness and fulfillment.

NO PHENOMENON can SURVIVE this mentality,
“I can’t (not because I don’t know how but because I don’t deserve it).”

Every single time SABOTAGE is at play…it is always fueled by a deep sense of unworthiness. Transform your energy of resistance into ENERGY OF POSSIBILITY. Here are three steps.

1. Stop bitching about what doesn’t work in your life. A boring job, bad boss, dysfunctional family, unwanted body fat and/or crap lover…none of these circumstances give you the right to sabotage your life experience. YES…easy for me to say BUUUUUUT…what will constant focus on what’s going “wrong” get you? MORE OF THE SAME. If you bitch about it. STOP. And ask yourself (literally in your head ask yourself this) “What am I going to do about it?” Create a plan. Baby steps. Start working towards positive change.

NOTE of THOUGHT: Bitching is a habit. And a system of distraction from deeper, more hurtful truths. Could this be true for you?

2. Exercise (preferably outdoors). Go for a walk, hike or run. You will never get back from doing this and wish you hadn’t. Cleanses the body, spirit and mind.

3. Find a coach or mentor. Steering through the fog of your own sabotage and self doubt can be very difficult. Support is a must. Find a kick arse coach who will help navigate your journey and get your phenomenon momentum back on track. Passion, purpose and courage are in you. A coach will simply guide YOU in re-connecting with all three. If you can’t afford a coach search out for a positive, supportive mentor.

I GET that $$$$ is a serious reality. That is why I have created my ROCK YOUR LIFE Online Coaching Program that is  both affordable and powerfully transformational for women like you.

From energy of resistance to energy of possibility.
The truth is: YES YOU CAN.

You deserve your phenomenon. Whatever it will play out to be.
